Good Omens, the book written over 30 years ago in 1992 by British authors Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, has become the source of hundreds of thousands of fanfictions, theories, and videos posted on social networks. Transformed into a series co-produced by Amazon Studios and BBC Studios, and written by Neil Gaiman himself, this two-season mini-series is defined as a “fantasy comedy” and tells the story of two angels: the meticulous Aziraphale and the remorseless Crowley, fallen and turned demon. These two opposites have known each other literally since the beginning of the world as we know it, for they were present at its creation, and have since then been living on Earth, in London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This now almost classic ages well, discussing morality and touching on relevant topics such as religion, queerness, fate, free will and even what being human really means. Season 2, released last August, features Crowley (David Tennant) and Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) investigating the coming to Earth of the memory-lost Archangel Gabriel. The season delves into their relationship to show how these two opposites came to love the other’s extremes during an eternity spent together and promises to keep you entertained throughout its 6 episodes. If watching this series makes you want to read, or if reading is more your thing, the endearing novel can be found at our dear Herrick Library!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
